English Teacher Deliver Challenging A-Level Literary Analysis and Mentor High-Achieving Sixth Form Students Barking & Dagenham
An ambitious secondary school in Barking & Dagenhamis seeking an experienced and intellectually engaging Teacher of Englishwith a strong focus on advanced literary analysis at the Sixth Form level from January 2026.
- English Teacher required from January 2026

You will teach English Language and Literature across KS3-KS5 with a significant timetable allocation to A-Level Literature. The role includes planning lessons that develop advanced critical theory and analytical reading with a key responsibility for mentoring high-potential students.
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or Literature.
- Proven success in teaching challenging texts at A-Level.
- Experience in successfully mentoring students through the UCAS application process.
- Commitment to contributing to the schools academic literacy programme.
