Job Summary

Do you want to join a committed KS1 team and make a real difference from January 2026 A Manchester primary with a strong collaborative culture is recruiting a reflective and highly effective KS1 Teacher to join the Key Stage 1 phase on a Full-Time basis. The successful KS1 Teacher will be invited to pre-term planning sessions ahead of January 2026 will participate in an induction programme in January 2026 and will begin teaching from January 2026 as the KS1 Teacher.

The KS1 Teacher role is central to securing the foundations of reading writing and mathematics. The KS1 Teacher will deliver daily systematic phonics teach reading fluency run short targeted interventions and design motivating cross-curricular learning. The KS1 Teacher will support transition activity into Year 2 and will contribute to moderation all activities that begin with planning prior to January 2026 and continue after January 2026.

A week in the life of the KS1 Teacher
The KS1 Teacher leads dynamic evidence-informed lessons that promote vocabulary comprehension and number sense. The KS1 Teacher designs continuous provision and adult-led sessions that foster independence and uses robust formative assessment to adapt teaching. The KS1 Teacher will lead parent workshops provide clear communication about progress and participate in CPD cycles that will start at induction in January 2026.

Professional development & impact for the KS1 Teacher
This school offers coaching peer observation and subject-specific training so the KS1 Teacher can refine practice and aim for sustained pupil progress. The KS1 Teacher will be encouraged to trial research-informed approaches lead small curriculum projects and mentor early career teachers after January 2026.
