JOB TITLE: P-8 Structures Technicians
LOCATION: Jacksonville FL
PAY RATE: $35/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

• Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

• Clearance: Must be eligible for Secret Clearance

• Shift: Variable - 1st (5:00 AM 1:30 PM) or 2nd (2:00 PM 10:30 PM)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Perform aircraft structural work on P-8 aircraft

• Identify and work with various fasteners (rivets blind rivets screws hi-locks bolts lock bolts)

• Read and interpret blueprints process data sheets and maintenance manuals

• Execute cleaning corrosion prevention polishing and dry washing tasks

• Remove and reinstall access panels and fairings; extract damaged screws without structural damage

• Perform safety wiring cotter pin installation sealing and application of aircraft finishes (primer paint Alodine)

• Conduct close tolerance drilling (.001) and precision measurement (.0005) on metallic and composite structures

• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers calipers gauges depth gauges etc.)

• Part location and fabrication using jigs fixtures and other precision tooling

• Blueprint reading and interpretation - accurately follow engineering drawings and process sheets

• Basic mathematical and measurement skills for precision fitting and drilling

• Fabricate locate trim drill/ream and assemble metallic and composite components

• Make major and minor modifications to aircraft skins and structures

• Utilize jigs repair equipment and tooling to meet blueprint requirements

Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1 years of related experience (3 5 years preferred)

• Close tolerance hole drilling experience

• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications

• Proficiency in blueprint reading and part fabrication

• Strong mathematical and precision measurement skills

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
