Job Summary

Title: Mainframe Lead / Architect

Location: Columbus GA

Description:

Mainframe Lead/Architect will be responsible for Designing technical standards guardrails documenting business process from code analysis and the cross-platform integration strategy for all impacted components.
This role defines the technical approach for precision expansion across Assembler VIS-GEN Pacbase generated COBOL COBOL DB2 VSAM CA-7 CICS and JCL / PROCs validates impact analysis.
This role governs the separation of functionality related to data and functional requirements for clearing and settlement application in credit card processing industry.
The architect will work closely with Client SMEs on planning intake and updates to COBOL and Copybooks establish standards for tracing data lineage data cleansing and VSAM file updates and own the integration and cutover design including performance and storage considerations as well as rollback strategies so that applications can operate independently on different mainframe complexes meeting SLAs and producing accurate deliverables.
Acting as the cross-component design authority this role will review and approve changes to ensure consistency and quality.
Candidates should have at least 10 years of mainframe architecture experience with deep expertise in z/OS internals COBOL DB2 VSAM QSAM Assembler CICS and JCL.
Experience leading large-scale numeric precision and scale accounting systems and financial reporting migrations is essential along with strong knowledge of versioning fallback and cutover strategies.
Proficiency with discovery and impact analysis tools combined with strong leadership design and troubleshooting skills is required.
