Winforms QA Test Engineer Onsite - 66304
Location: Baltimore/Linthicum MD Onsite Required
Rate: Up to $70/hr
Duration: 6 12 Months

Overview:
Were seeking a QA Test Engineer to support a fast-paced software development team working on a manufacturing execution system built on FactoryWorks with extensive custom development. The ideal candidate is a proactive adaptable self-starter who thrives in high-pressure environments and can contribute with minimal hand-holding.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform manual functional and regression testing of desktop applications (WinForms)
Design and implement automated test structures and GUIs
Write unit tests for code (using built-in tools or nUnit)
Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environment with 2-week sprints
Support testing of legacy components (VB6) and modern desktop applications
Utilize TestComplete or similar tools for automation
Work with GitHub for version control

Required Skills:

Strong experience with desktop application testing
Proficiency in C# VBA and at least one of: .NET Java JavaScript
Familiarity with ODBC database communications (Oracle MySQL)
Experience with WinForms or manufacturing software highly preferred
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a high-stress team

Preferred:

Exposure to manufacturing systems or COTS software
Experience with automation platforms and transitioning from manual to automated testing
