Location: Cape Town
Reporting directly to: Head of Software
Requirements
- 3 years experience with frontend engineering using JavaScript and TypeScript
- Strong experience with React (or similar frameworks like Angular or Vue)
- Expertise with HTML5 CSS3 and responsive web design
- Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks (e.g. Jest Cypress)
- Experience working with APIs and asynchronous data flows (AJAX Fetch etc.)
- Comfortable with Git and CI/CD pipelines
Nice to have
- Experience with real-time data visualization (e.g. )
- Exposure to sports technology or wearable tech environments
Responsibilities
As part of their engineering team:
- Build and maintain performant user-friendly web interfaces for their sports technology products
- Collaborate with product and design teams to implement new features and improvements
- Support data visualizations that help teams and athletes interpret performance data
- Write clean maintainable code and participate in code reviews
- Contribute to improving UI/UX across platforms
- Participate in an on-call rota to support live deployments
