Job Summary
Asbestos Technician - Newark NJ/NYC Metro
Responsibilities:
- Perform air monitoring and contractor oversight during asbestos abatement projects
- Inspection and on-site monitoring for asbestos mold lead paint and indoor air quality
- Conduct detailed surveys for asbestos lead based paint right to know and mold
- Maintain operate and calibrate a variety of sampling and monitoring equipment
- Technical report writing and interpretation of analytical data
Requirements:
- New York Asbestos certification
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in asbestos field
- HS Diploma mechanical/trade school and/or college degree is preferred
- Current EPA/AHERA building inspector accreditation preferred
- Knowledge of general building mechanical systems and building construction
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to work OT and shift coverage
