Position OverviewWe are excited to announce the opening of our brand new Ermington centre set to open at the end of January 2026. This beautiful new service will feature three rooms providing a warm and engaging space for children to learn grow and thrive.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Educational Leader/Assistant Director to join the foundation team at Ermington. This is a hands on on the floor role where you will work closely with educators each day leading by example and driving best practice in early education. You will mentor and guide your team support curriculum implementation and assist the Centre Director with the day-to-day operations and leadership of the service.
ResponsibilitiesLead and inspire a team of educators through on-the-floor mentoring collaboration and support.
Model and guide best-practice early childhood education in daily routines and program implementation.
Work alongside the Centre Director to ensure smooth daily operations staffing and compliance.
Develop and deliver engaging holistic learning programs that nurture each childs growth curiosity and development.
Foster a positive inclusive and professional team culture focused on high-quality care and education.
Build strong relationships with families and the community promoting involvement and Mini Masterminds values.
Ensure health safety and wellbeing standards are consistently met and upheld.
Qualifications and SkillsBachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
At least 6 months experience as an Educational Leader Assistant Director or in a leadership capacity
Strong ability to lead mentor and inspire educators on the floor
Valid Working with Children Check
Current First Aid CPR Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications
Child Protection training/certificate
Excellent communication organisational and interpersonal skills
Passion for continuous learning innovation and professional development
