The Maryland Insurance Administration (MIA) isan independent State agency that regulates Marylands $46 billion insuranceindustry and protects consumers by monitoring and enforcing insurers andinsurance professionals compliance with State law. Through the diligenceof a highly professional staff of market analysts financial analystsaccountants lawyers law enforcement officers actuaries complaintinvestigators and others the MIA works to facilitate a strong and competitiveinsurance marketplace where consumers are well informed and treatedfairly. Staff members are subject matter experts who serve as a resourcefor lawmakers consumers and other public and private entities.

The MIA is charged with a broad range ofresponsibilities including the licensure of insurance carriers and insuranceproducers (brokers/agents) operating in Maryland the conduct of financialexaminations of companies to monitor financial solvency and the review andapproval of rates and contract forms. The MIA investigates reports of consumerfraud and consumer complaints about life health automobile homeownersand/or property insurance. Insurance carriers are subject to marketconduct examinations and other actions to monitor compliance with Marylandlaw. The MIA also has a unit dedicated to consumer education andoutreach which participates in hundreds of events and reaches thousands ofindividual consumers annually.

The Maryland InsuranceAdministration is recruiting to fill a contractual Senior Salesforce Developerposition in the Management Information Systems (MIS) unit. This position will design develop and deployscalable integrated MIS ITS and Salesforce solutions that enhance customerengagement streamline operations and deliver actionable insights. The Senior Developerwill lead technical efforts across Salesforce Core OmniStudio MuleSoft BoxPower BI/Tableau and business analysis ensuring alignment with enterprisearchitecture and agile delivery practices. 5. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military serviceexperience as a commissioned officer in theComputer Systems Operationsclassifications or Computer Systems Operations specialty codes in theInformation Technology field of work on a year-for-year basis for the requiredexperience.

The ideal candidate will have:

Atleast six (6) years of experience as a CertifiedSalesforce Platform developer or Certified Salesforce Administrator.

Atleast five (5) years of experience with OmniScripts and DataRaptor.

Atleast five (5) years of experience with API-led integration using Mulesoft.

Contractual employees who work for an agencycovered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare BenefitsProgram have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week(or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized healthbenefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractualemployee you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for yourmedical and prescription coverage including any eligible dependents you haveenrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the costfor these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage accidentaldeath and dismemberment insurance and life insurance but will be responsibleto pay the full premium for these benefits.

Leave may be granted to a contractual employeewho has worked 120 days in a 12 month period. This leave accrues at a rate ofone hour for every 30 hours worked not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.
