Job Summary

Work with geologists geophysicists petrophysicists and engineers to prepare maps cross-sections spreadsheets powerpoints and other presentation materials for oil & gas prospects. Update project daily for drilling wells daily. Organize log and core data.

3 years of experience as a geological technician experience using Petra preferred. Bachelors degree a plus preferably in math geology or computer science. High school diploma or GED required. Must have a technical background with strong math and computer skills. Proficiency in applications such as Kingdom Petrel Powerlog Excel Powerpoint and Microsoft access is preferred but training available. Must be familiar with Drilling Wireline log data and core data. Candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work individually and collaboratively in a team environment. Must be able to set priorities and meet deadlines be able to handle large volumes of data and be able to multi-task. Previous experience working with geologists petrophysicists and/or geophysicists is desirable. Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
