Job Description
Vertex is seeking an experiencedAssociate Director to lead the day-to-day operations of our global End User Compute (EUC) platforms with a focus on end user experience of the highest quality. This role will focus on Modern Workstation Engineering & Architecture to deliver secure compliant and seamless Windows and Mac workstation and mobile experiences across Vertexs regulated life sciences environment. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence governance lead offshore delivery teams and shape the future of EUC in the age of AI-driven transformation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Lead daily operations of global EUC platforms ensuring reliability seamless end user experience compliance and performance across workstation and mobile environments.
Manage andoptimizekey technologies including Microsoft Intune SCCM/MECM and Nexthink.
Oversee offshore delivery teams ensuring accountability quality andtimelyexecution of operational tasks.
Collaborate with engineering and information security teams to align operational delivery with strategic roadmaps.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in EUC servicesanticipatingfutureneedsand integrating emerging technologies.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies across all EUC platforms.
Partner with cross-functional teams including Clinical Research Commercial andCorporatefunctions to deliver exceptional employee experiences.
Support financial planning budgeting and vendor management for EUC operations.
Champion change management and foster a culture of agility AI innovation and excellence.
Knowledge and Skills
Deep technicalexpertisein workstation platforms and endpoint management tools (Microsoft Intune SCCM/MECM Nexthink).
Proven leadership in managing large-scale regulated IT environments preferably in life sciences or biopharma.
Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and adapt toemergingtechnologies especially AI-driven trends in EUC.
Strong understanding of compliance data privacy and security standards.
Experience leading offshore teams and managing global operations.
Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Skilled in project management stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
Excellent communication and influencing skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field or relevant experience: advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in IT operations with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Experience in regulated industries (biotech pharma healthcare)stronglypreferred.
Pay Range:
$158800 - $238100Disclosure Statement:
The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors including skills competencies experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
