Were looking for a strategic leader to step into a high-impact role that bridges sustainability finance and insight generation. Help shape our approach to sustainable finance and support how FCC integrates environmental and social considerations into lending and investment decisions.
In this 12-month term opportunity youll lead meaningful work that supports Canadas transition to a more sustainable agricultural economy. Youll be joining a collaborative values-driven organization that empowers its people and champions innovation.
What youll do
- Lead implementation of FCCs Sustainable Finance Strategy ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and evolving sustainability priorities.
- Oversee development and refinement of FCCs environmental and social Impact Measurement and Management (IMM) framework enabling data-driven decision-making and transparent reporting.
- Direct creation and dissemination of sustainability-related insights across internal and external channels supporting FCCs thought leadership in sustainable agriculture.
- Collaborate enterprise-wide with teams in Risk Lending Strategy FCC Capital and Communications to embed sustainability into FCCs core business practices.
- Cultivate external partnerships with industry leaders government bodies and sustainability experts to enhance FCCs credibility and influence in the sustainable finance space.
What were looking for
- Proven experience in sustainable finance sustainability strategy or climate risk management
- Familiarity with agriculture financial services or impact measurement frameworks is an asset
- Strong leader and coach with a track record of building high-performing teams
- Strategic thinker who can translate complex sustainability concepts into actionable business plans.
- Excellent communicator with stakeholder engagement skills
What youll need
- A bachelors degree in the social sciences finance agriculture or a related field and at least eight years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Extensive practical knowledge of all facets of primary and secondary research
- Advanced proficiency in both official languages (English and French) needed
