Position Summary
As a Concessions Worker you play a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience. Youll prepare and serve food and beverages at concession stands portable stations or grab-and-go areas with a focus on speed accuracy and friendly service. Your attention to detail ensures every item is presented with care and quality.
Were looking for enthusiastic individuals who thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. Youll work closely with fellow team members to maintain a clean organized workspace and support one another to meet guest needs efficiently and professionally.
A strong commitment to customer satisfaction and reliability is essential. Consistent attendance is required including availability on weekdays and weekends mornings or evenings depending on game day schedules.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $12.00-$15.00 and is tip eligible
Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching
This position will remain open until December 31 2025.
About the Venue
Allen Fieldhouse: Iconic home of KU mens and womens basketball.
David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium: Historic football stadium centerpiece of the KU Gateway District redevelopment.
Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena: State-of-the-art facility dedicated to KU volleyball located adjacent to Allen Fieldhouse.
Rock Chalk Park:
Hoglund Ballpark: Baseball stadium near Allen Fieldhouse.
Responsibilities
- Ability to build orders prepare food and knowledge in all areas of concessions operations.
- Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels and communicating to the Concessions Supervisor of low stock items.
- Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes.
- Serve beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages responsibly. Must check guests ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for purchase of alcoholic beverages.
- Maintains sanitation health and safety standards in work areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Some experience in the food service industry preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly positive attitude with co-workers managers volunteers & guests
- Ability to work flexible event schedule (nights weekends holidays)
