Description
We are currently seeking a skilled MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Hematology Oncology In this role you will play a crucial part in diagnosing and treating patients with blood disorders and cancers. Your expertise will be vital in providing high-quality care and improving patient outcomes. You will be involved in cutting-edge research clinical trials and multidisciplinary collaborations to advance the field of Hematology Oncology.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat patients with various blood disorders and cancers.
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor patients progress and adjust treatment regimens accordingly.
- Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary meetings to discuss complex cases.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in the field of Hematology Oncology.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Conduct research and contribute to academic publications in Hematology Oncology.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board certification in Hematology Oncology.
- Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating patients with blood disorders and cancers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Valid medical license and ability to practice in the state of New York.
Schedule: 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday
Offsite call every other week
Setting: 1 clinic day per week remaining days are inpatient
Patient Volume: 15-20 per shift
Providing comprehensive treatment and supportive care services for benign blood disorders and all cancer types
Support Staff: 2 MDs 3 nurses cancer coordinator and full clerical/support staff
Board certification required
