Job Summary
Press Machine Operator 1st Shift
You will support the post-press process. Post-press is what takes place after pages have been printed. This includes folding trimming binding and this role you will be sorting and matching printed materials for shipment.
LOCATION: Des Plaines IL 60018
POSITION: Contract
SCHEDULE: 1st Shift 5:00am to 1:00pm OR 6:00am to 2:00pm
PAY RATE: 20.00 hour
- Operate moderately complex post-press equipment of intermediate to advanced difficulty. Typically requires preventive maintenance functions to be performed. Likely to utilize basic to intermediate computer systems in the completion of duties. Equipment operators at this level typically process multiple product types.
- General Operator duties include Machine operation handwork and packing.
- Perform a complete set-up of the machine in an efficient manner which includes: monitor/maintain equipment and stock area with supplies.
- Determine and understand order instructions and running of equipment productively.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year Machine Operation Required
- Press printing machines - Preferred
- Computer skills
- Able to read and make decisions
- Able to work well independently and with others on work for all clients
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment
- Able to stand for long periods of time
