SUMMARY

We are harmonizing and optimizing SAPs support & cloud operations processes on a user-centric innovative platform focused on delivering a simple stable effective and desirable internal (for SAP employees) and external (for SAP customers) customer service management. Central to this effort is analytics and its subsequent data products that also build the foundation for AI. SAP is using the SAP BDC (Business Data Cloud) including the medallion architecture as proposed by the industry (Gold Silver Bronze Data Products) by building on top of Databricks and SAP Datasphere.

By creating this solution we serve all SAP lines of business (e.g. Ariba Fieldglass S/4 HCM) and cross teams (e.g. ECS GCID CSUP). We are part of SAPs strategic Focus program designed to help SAP achieve its ambition of becoming the #1 Enterprise Application and Business AI company.

In this context we are seeking for aSenior Analytics Specialistin the role of a Product Manager for will play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy ensuring seamless collaboration between platforms and delivering value to our customers.

Product Management

Product Management is responsible for the success quality costs and delivery of a product as defined in the product portfolio. Drives the product road map and corresponding usage plan inlcuding decisions about in-house developments purchases or partnerships on product level. Ensures the delivery of high-quality specifications according to customer and user requirements with the goal of creating a competitive advantage for SAP. Coordinates the gathering and integration of feedback from different stakeholders especially from customers. Ensures the maintenance of the product up until a potential handover. Makes a contribution towards efficiency and data driven decision making.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

Product management in our unit is responsible for defining the data products (focus will lie on derived data products) together with business stakeholders as well as data will lead to a scalable well defined analytical landscape that allows our business stakeholders to consume the data that they want when they want and to move from a data rich and insight poor business to an insight driven business decision process.

Generally product management is responsible for driving the strategic direction collarboating across teams leveraging the right data for decision-making and also continuously aligning the product with technical innovations as well as overall cooperate strategy.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Prioritize and the roadmap for analytics ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
• Champion data-driven and product-led methodologies to drive growth through customer insights and usage data
• Define data products (bronze silver gold) together with business stakeholders as well as data scientists on the Databricks as well as SAP Datasphere layer (all part of SAP BDC)
• Develop the business case together with the stakeholders and subsequently measure value generated by the implementation
• Work with product owner to prioritize features and capabilities of the product based on customers needs business value and technical feasibility
• Support business stakeholders to adopt the existing data products to suffice their reporting needs by introducing new technologies e.g. AI/BI Genie from Databricks
• Drive data product adoption and customer success through effective communication and support
• Manage data products as well as its governance through controlling access and context to ensure secure distribution across the entire SAP ecosystem.
• Support the Product Owner and Data Scientist to understand the data and leverage data insights through hardening models via e.g. the AutoML capability from Databricks
• Support the Data Scientiest in assessing scalability as well as performance

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Academic degree (Bachelor or Master) in data science statistics business informatics or information technology or related fields.
• Proven experience as a Product Manager preferably in data platform or cloud solutions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data driven mindset.
• Be able to articulate a clear and compelling product vision that aligns with companys overall strategy.
• Define product roadmaps based on the product vision that outline major features and milestones for the product.
• Prioritize features and requirements based on business value an customer needs.
• Excellent interpersonal presentation communication and negotiation skills and be an interface to different stakeholders talking different languages in a global team. You will work closely with different stakeholders across the organization to ensure that the product is meeting their needs and to address any issues that will arise
• Have an agile mindset and be comfortable in working in a fast-paced iterative development environment
• Be responsible for the overall success of the product also keeping in mind continuous improvement to identify opportunities for improvement while ensuring alignment with the companys overall strategy
• Experience in Databricks SAP Datasphere and Collibra is a plus
• Leader and team player give guidance and show excellent coordination skills including conflict management
• Strategic thinking strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Quick learner passionate motivated and self-managed
• English language skills
• 5 years of professional working experiencein architecture development or comparable
• Experience in application delivery processes procedures & key metrics
