About the Role

Life Without Barriers is proud to deliver the new Staying on Track program part of the Queensland Governments Making Queensland Safe plan. Staying on Track supports young people aged 1017 leaving detention to successfully return to their families and communities.
The program provides intensive tailored support focussed on reducing re-offending and building positive pathways through education training employment cultural and community connections.
This is an identified role for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples. As a Youth Advocate you will provide culturally safe and strengths-based mentoring coaching and outreach support to young people including both Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous youth who are leaving detention and working to rebuild their lives.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check Queensland Blue Card Working with Children Check and Licence Care Service Check.
