Call Response Time: 30 minutes (average expectation)

Starting January 2026 (3 weeks per month or full-time preferred)

Patient Volume/Census: 1820 patients daily in clinic
Admissions: As needed (hospitalist typically handles)
Rounding: Yes during weekend call (1012 patients)

Case Mix: 65% Hematology / 35% Oncology

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active IN license or IMLC eligible
Board: BC/BE in Hematology and Oncology (must certify within 5 years of residency)
DEA: Active DEA Certification
Certifications: ACLS (AHA) BLS (AHA)
Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
Vaccinations: Flu (required or exemption) COVID (not required)
Other Qualifications: Must complete order entry and timesheets via Vemsta platform
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient hematology/oncology care
Participate in weekend call rotation and provide consults as needed
Manage clinic patients and coordinate care with APPs and hospitalists
Review and manage inpatient consults (typically within 2448 hours)
Collaborate with support staff to ensure continuity of care
Document all encounters accurately in Epic EMR
