| Job Description |
Summary Join a mission-driven healthcare team making a direct impact on adult wellness across Maui! This role supports primary care delivery within a collaborative patient-centered environment at a Federally Qualified Health Center. The Medical Assistant works alongside physicians nurses and interdisciplinary care teams to provide high-quality clinical and administrative support that enhances patient outcomes and access to care. What Youll Do - Support providers in patient assessments exams and treatment coordination
- Prepare exam rooms update medical records and obtain vital signs
- Conduct health screenings (PHQ2 GAD2 SDOH smoking alcohol etc.)
- Administer medications and immunizations (oral topical IM and SQ) after training
- Assist with lab draws diagnostic tests and specimen handling
- Coordinate referrals prior authorizations and follow-up communication
- Maintain medical supply inventory and ensure exam rooms meet safety standards
- Educate patients on health maintenance chronic disease management and prevention
- Collaborate with RN and provider in pre-visit planning for chronic disease and high-needs patients
- Participate in quality initiatives EMR documentation and safety protocols
What Youll Need - High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nurse Aide training program
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred
- Knowledge of exam room procedures and clinical documentation practices
- BLS certification (required)
- TB clearance within 12 months
- Valid drivers license and access to insured vehicle
- Strong communication organizational and teamwork skills
- Compassionate patient-focused mindset with ability to multitask effectively
Schedule & Benefits - Full-time day shifts (8 AM 5 PM Monday through Friday)
