Our client is seeking a talented Occupational Therapist to join their team! The Occupational Therapist provides evaluation treatment and education services to individuals with physical developmental sensory or cognitive challenges. The OT helps clients achieve greater independence and improved quality of life through customized therapy plans that promote functional skills adaptive techniques and participation in daily activities.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess client needs functional abilities and treatment goals.
Develop individualized treatment plans that address identified deficits and promote functional independence.
Provide direct therapy services to clients using evidence-based interventions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team membersincluding physical therapists speech therapists behavior analysts physicians and educatorsto ensure coordinated care.
Train clients caregivers and staff on adaptive techniques assistive equipment and environmental modifications.
Document evaluations progress notes and discharge summaries accurately and in compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.
Monitor client progress adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve measurable outcomes.
Maintain compliance with all applicable laws regulations and professional standards (HIPAA state licensures etc.).
Participate in staff meetings continuing education and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current and active Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
NBCOT certification required.
Prior clinical experience preferred (new graduates will be considered depending on setting).
Knowledge of sensory integration fine motor development and adaptive skill training preferred.
Strong communication organization and documentation skills.
