Job Summary

The Site Security & Monitoring Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe secure and compliant environment at Credentias on-site testing and training facility. This role involves monitoring access surveillance candidate behaviour and site safety protocols to ensure the integrity of credentialing and competency processes and to protect personnel assets and sensitive information.



Key Responsibilities

  • Control and monitor facility access: verify candidate staff and visitor identification oversee entry/exit points and prevent unauthorised access or activity.

  • Monitor and operate surveillance systems (CCTV alarm panels monitoring consoles) ensuring consistent coverage of testing areas candidate waiting rooms and facility perimeter.

  • Conduct routine patrols and inspections of the facility: check doors windows locks equipment rooms fire-safety systems and general condition of the site.

  • Observe and report suspicious or non-compliant behaviour (e.g. cheating attempt prohibited items security breaches) and escalate to management or regulatory staff as required.

  • Ensure testing/training areas meet security and integrity standards: supervise candidate check-in/out oversee equipment usage enforce posting of rules and maintain a secure environment for examinations and competency assessments.

  • Document incidents disturbances or security events: complete accurate logs incident reports and video reviews; follow up on corrective actions and support investigations.

  • Assist with emergency procedures: respond to alarms (fire intrusion medical) coordinate with facility management or external responders participate in drills and evacuations.

  • Maintain security equipment and support monitoring infrastructure: report faults work with vendors or facility maintenance to ensure systems are operational and meet regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with facility and credentialing staff to align security protocols with regulatory requirements and company policies; support audits and compliance reviews.

  • Provide courteous and professional interaction with candidates staff and visitors: enforce rules while maintaining a positive image of Credentias service environment.




Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or certificate in business safety/security or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in security monitoring or facility operations (health-care credentialing testing-site or educational settings preferred).

  • Familiarity with access control systems CCTV surveillance alarm monitoring and basic investigation/reporting procedures.

  • Excellent observational skills attention to detail ability to recognise and document irregularities clearly and accurately.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills: ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of people (candidates staff vendors).

  • Strong customer-service orientation along with security-focused mindset and ability to enforce policies while maintaining a positive environment.

  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings evenings and weekends as needed for facility operations.

  • Basic computer skills (MS Office or similar) for logging activities writing reports and reviewing surveillance footage.

  • Certification in first aid/CPR or security licence may be required depending on site or state regulations.
