Job Summary

Are you a driven Quality professional looking to for an opportunity in international technology projects

Valmets Global Supply Quality and its Project Quality Assurance function drive the deployment of consistent project-specific quality standards and requirements throughout project implementation. This team also ensures that project deliveries meet quality requirements that satisfy our customers comply with regulatory standards and align with Valmets own high expectations.

We are now looking for a Project Quality Assurance Manager to join our team and support capital and rebuild projects within the Project Quality Assurance team.
Preferred location for you to seat would be Sundsvall or Karlstad (Sweden) however we are considering Jelenia Góra (Poland) in addition.

As a Project Quality Assurance Manager your main responsibilities include

  • Oversee Quality Assurance plans and resource allocation across sales and project execution while supporting project teams in both assigned projects and at the portfolio level to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
  • Promoting early identification of quality risks and defects through preventive measures and quality planning through the project lifecycle.
  • Participating in process development activities related to Quality in collaboration with your own function and relevant business area stakeholders.
  • Driving root cause analysis and defect resolution leading structured problem-solving and implementing corrective actions across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Enhancing documentation and regulatory compliance ensuring QA records are accurate complete and aligned with customer and statutory requirements.
  • Managing internal audits ensuring compliance with customer expectations statutory regulations and internal standards.

Who is the candidate we are looking for

  • BSc/MSc in Engineering.
  • Several years of experience in engineering manufacturing or inspection of machinery and pressure equipment including experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience in quality assurance in manufacturing or project business and knowledge of Machinery and Pressure Equipment Directives.
  • NDT (non-destructive testing) and welding knowledge are strongly appreciated.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills such as proactiveness and flexibility; you should be a real team player who excels in multicultural environments.
  • Excellent command of English language both verbal and written. Being proficient in Swedish can be an advantage.
  • Willingness and availability to travel fairly often in Sweden and abroad approximately 50 days per year.
