DUTIES
- Preparing Ingredients and Mise en Place: Ensuring all necessary ingredients are prepped and ready for cooking. This includes chopping vegetables measuring spices and organizing the workstation.
- Following Instructions: Taking directions from the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef and executing tasks as instructed. Clear communication is key to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Maintaining Standards: Ensuring that the presentation and quality of food meet the kitchens / restaurant standards. This involves attention to detail and consistency in every dish.
- Working Independently: Being able to manage tasks on your own when required demonstrating reliability and efficiency.
- Food safety: Follow the Policies and Procedures of food safety systems set by management of the Hotel
REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably a college graduate with a degree in Culinary or in the same capacity
- Preferably with a minimum of 2 years experience in a high-end kitchen
- Preferably knowledgeable and Practice Highs standards in Food Safety Systems like HACCP and ISO22000
- Preferably communicates with fluency in English (as well as the local language)
- Preferably displays curiosity and takes time to learn and understand new culinary trends and styles
- Preferably a self-starter and a team player
- Preferably enjoys interacting with people
- Preferably loves interacting with guests and engaging them
- Creative and has eye for details
- Preferably willing to work shifts
