Position overview:

As a Crimping tools & equipment Engineer you will be responsible to define the plants equipment & tooling needs to support engineering changes and new projects and ensure the acquisition installation and validation of crimping tooling & equipment according to the start-up schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the definition of crimping tooling & machine requirement for any new project as well as the budget necessary to issue the CAPEX request.
  • Lead the team in the installation validation and continuous improvement actions on the components (Quality volume cost) of the crimping & sealing processes.
  • Ensure the availability of crimping tools & equipment at the SOP by making the necessary anticipations (alert suppliers check other plants surplus ensure quick transport and transfers...).
  • Prepare all documentation concerning newly integrated seal applicators crimp dies and crimping machines.
  • Contribute to the choice of suppliers for the purchase of equipment for the means of production.
  • Prepare the Capacity Studies monthly and ensure that they are updated.
  • Check the inventory status of tools & equipment.
  • Conduct training for employees located at our manufacturing sites.
  • Ensure In conjunction with quality & the health safety & environment coordinator the performances and the approval of the machines.
  • Collaborate with other engineering and production areas for lay-out changes.
  • Encourage new developments in the means of production while ensuring the optimization of production procedures.
  • Provide support and assistance to his team in carrying out the development work.

Key skills and Qualifications:

  • Bac5 with 3 years experience working in wiring activities
  • Knowledge of crimping manufacturing process
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills
  • Problem solving techniques
  • Proficiency in both English & French languages spoken and written
