Discovers historical credit card data will be in the Capital One ecosystem in OneStreams OneLake location and these Engineering teams will be responsible for picking the data up transforming and loading into target state which could be Snowflake or AWS S3
6 Tech Leads to lead 6 separate Data Engineering teams (Capital One formers preferred)
Tech Leads are accountable for teams work being delivered on time will lead sprint ceremonies for team accountable for problem solving with senior managers must be able to pivot and adapt quickly based on requirements incredibly high caliber talent needed in tech leads
Must Have
AWS(EMR/Glue S3 Lambda Cloudwatch) Python/Java Spark Databricks SQL Bash)
Python use: scripting building new data pipelines (not app dev)
Data warehousing experience (Snowflake)
APIs
Agile engineering practices & JIRA usage
Nice to Have
- Kafka Airflow Open Table formats (Delta Hudi Iceberg) Splunk NewRelic Github Jenkins prior Capital One experience highly preferred
Must be located in Capital One core locations (listed in order of preference)

DFS data migration effort - Capital One is undertaking a critical data migration initiative to ingest all historical Discover Card data into its internal systems.
While the data already resides within the Capital One ecosystem the challenge lies in efficiently ingesting it into its target state ensuring completeness accuracy and usability across platforms.
This migration is an enterprise imperative to enable downstream analytics compliance and operational continuity using DFS data. Success requires tight coordination across engineering data governance and platform teams to minimize disruption and maximize business value.

I could really use your help with a position at Capital One. The good news is theyre now open to remote work but there are a few important details:
- Candidates must meet all client requirementsto qualify for remote.
- They also need to live near a Capital One hub (Chicago Boston NYC Virginia Texas etc.).
- Every consultant submitted must have previous leadership experienceno exceptions.
- Must have Financial experience and/or Capital One Former. Being a former is not required but they must have experience in the financial/Fintech sector
- They will notconsider anyone currently working as on-prem/Big Data Developers or Hadoop Developers.
- Candidates must currently be working in the AWS spacewith experience in Airflow Databricks Snowflake and PySpark.
