Roles are on offer for this apprenticeship across several different teams including:
Childrens & Education: Childrens & Education is home to inspiring content for UK kids across TV digital and social platforms. As a Business Administration Apprentice youll support day-to-day operations help organise meetings prepare reports and assist with exciting projects. Youll build skills in communication and problem-solving with access to training in Business Governance and Introduction to Business Organisations. Its a chance to learn grow and be part of a team that makes a real impact.
Business Management & Administration:The Business Management and Administration (BMA) team supports the Chief Operating Officers Group (COOG) through collaboration purchasing governance and expert advice. With around 70 members BMA drives initiatives manages meetings and assists directors. The team values innovation continuous improvement and embraces technologies like AI. Joining BMA means gaining experience making an impact and being part of a close-knit forward-thinking group that helps the business run smoothly and efficiently across divisions.
BBC Commercial Rights & Business Affairs (CRBA): In CRBA we negotiate secure and advise on BBC Group intellectual property rights commercial opportunities & distribution for TV audio and online across all content genres. We build key relationships with external partners create collaborations and shape underlying strategies; supporting productions acquisitions and digital transformation across the industry and drive public service and commercial ambitions.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
As a Business Administrator (BAA26) apprentice this is brilliant opportunity to learn grow and contribute you will:
- Work directly in a BBC team and pull back the curtain on the worlds leading public service broadcaster.
- Provide critical administrative support that keeps the heart of the team beating
- Keep the team on track and ensure deadlines are met working at pace to solve problems on the job
- Communicate with colleagues across departments building relationships and networks
- Learn the systems processes and skills that keep a major global organisation running smoothly
Youll study for your industry recognised apprenticeship qualification learning both on and off the job. This means youll spend at least one day a week studying for a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship with our learning provider using its virtual delivery platform.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for an apprenticeship at the BBC you must:
Be 18 years old or over by the time the apprenticeship begins in September 2026
Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years prior to the start of the apprenticeship
Be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK for the entire duration of the apprenticeship
Not currently be enrolled in another apprenticeship programme whether with the BBC or another organisation
Not already hold a qualification in the same subject area (Business Administration) at the same or a higher level than this apprenticeship.

- Have achieved Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above or National 5 (Scotland) at C or above or an equivalent qualification.

This is a fixed-term apprenticeship - your contract lasts for the duration of the scheme. Once completed youll be supported with career development employability training and networking opportunities to help you take your next step - whether thats at the BBC or elsewhere in the industry.

The BBC recognises that some people who are applying for a BBC Apprenticeship Scheme may need to relocate to a new location for the role and this might not be possible due to your personal financial constraints. Relocation support is offered to a limited number of apprentices each year and would be considered for this position subject to meeting the relocation support qualifying criteria.
