Are you a passionate and skilled Registered Nurse with a strong background or interest in cardiac care Kingston Health Sciences Centre is seeking talented individuals to join our dynamic team as Cardiac Care Nurses. As a leading healthcare institution in the region we are committed to providing exceptional care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients and work in a state-of-the-art facility with a dedicated team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to patients with cardiac conditions including but not limited to acute myocardial infarction heart failure arrhythmias and post-cardiac surgery.
• Assess patient conditions administer medications and perform treatments according to established protocols and best practices.
• Monitor vital signs cardiac rhythms and response to interventions and promptly report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians surgeons and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on cardiac conditions treatment plans medications lifestyle modifications and self-care techniques.
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families during challenging times.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments interventions and outcomes.
• Stay up to date with advancements in cardiac care nursing through continuous education and professional development.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Satisfactory criminal reference check required.
