The Technical Writer will play a critical role within the Central Project Management Office (CPMO) by developing editing and maintaining essential departmental documentation with a primary focus on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This position requires a detail-oriented individual capable of working independently to synthesize complex information into clear compliant and uniformly styled documents. Beyond technical writing this role supports key operational functions including digital site maintenance customer feedback management and data integrity.
The Opportunity:
Create edit and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) work instructions and related documentation for the CPMO department.
Manage the entire document lifecycle (creation review approval revision and archival) within the document control system specifically the DiaDoc platform.
Collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and document initiators to gather information ensure accuracy and rewrite or reconstruct controlled documents for clarity and consistency.
Integrate various sources of information into a uniform style format and language to ensure consistency across all departmental documentation.
Coordinate the formal review approval and revision of procedures specifications and forms.
Maintain and update departmental G-Sites (Google Sites) and other internal knowledge repositories ensuring content is current accurate and easily accessible to all team members.
Assist in the design distribution and conducting of customer satisfaction surveys to gather feedback on departmental services.
Provide administrative support by collecting gathering and inputting data accurately into primary departmental databases and tracking systems.
Who You Are:
Bachelors Degree
2 years prior experience developing professional technical documentation particularly Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or controlled internal policies.
Preferred:
Prior experience developing professional technical documentation particularly Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or controlled internal policies.
Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to effectively collect synthesize and translate complex or technical information from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) into clear user-friendly language.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage many disparate projects and responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with document control systems (e.g. DiaDoc).
Familiarity with project management methodologies or terminology.
Proficiency in maintaining and updating Google Sites or similar corporate intranet platforms.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis is $53400.00 to $99200. Actual pay will be determined based on experience qualifications geographic location and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
