This position is based in San Antonio TX.

What youll do:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical College Intern to join our this role you will play a vital part in understanding business needs developing data-driven solutions and communicating insights to a variety of audiences. Youll have the opportunity to work on real-world projects collaborate with various business units and contribute to data-informed decision-making.

  • Gather business requirements through working sessions with multiple business units.
  • Design and implement data-driven solutions to address business challenges.
  • Organize and schedule meetings with business partners to define problem statements and recommend user actions.
  • Collaborate with management to prioritize business user needs.
  • Conduct investigative analysis of business problems and translate findings into actionable insights for relevant teams.
  • Participate in presenting reports and communicating capabilities concepts and complex data analyses to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop both ad-hoc and standard reports and dashboards to promote consistent data-driven insights.
  • Manage and maintain requirements within JIRA ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Identify and articulate business value potential cost savings and overall impact of proposed solutions.
  • Identify problem statements and create supporting data to determine the root cause.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Maintain a proactive attitude and demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies and skills.

What you need to have:

To qualify you must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and plan to graduate after the final day of the internship. Most of our interns participate the summer between their junior and senior years. Our 2026 internship will start on May 27 2026 and last through August 7 2026.

  • Graduation date cannot be prior to August 7 2026
  • Some experience in data-modelling
  • Experience with functional usage of BI tools including Tableau and Cognos
  • Experience with Product/Application Development
  • Proficient with productivity tools such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Excel

This candidate wont be writing the code but expected to understand the data model and application design.

What sets you apart:

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer science Information Management or related field
  • Graduation date between August 8 2026 and July 2027

  • Good understanding of Finance Domain experience in developing governance procedures & monitoring control for user-developed applications data product
  • Solid grasp of Business analyst with web applications or SaaS or similar
  • Some experience working with various collaborators (product managers engineers designers) to define analysis goals and interpret results
  • CDMP Certification Preferred

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $24 - $35. Interns will receive an intern stipend to assist with expenses.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the hourly range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual hourly rate for this role may vary by location.
