Job Summary
The ideal candidate will possess a tirelessly positive attitude as well as the desire to grow in a rewarding career (we dont believe in dead-ends around here). You must have superb communication skills be REALLY reliable (it disappoints the residents when you are a no-show). Resilience flexibility and willingness to learn are essential.
Core responsibilities:
- Operate Companys 14-passenger vehicle and SUV to transport residents on outings/personal and doctors appointments.
- Help the Director set up tear down for and implement creative activities outings and programs that enrich our residents lives.
- Promote participation in activities and help foster social connectedness between residents.
- Demonstrate superior customer service while developing rapport with residents visitors and coworkers.
- Learn the programs/activities industry and best practices in senior well-being and how the pieces of the puzzle fit together.
- Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all support roles at the community.
Qualifications :
- MUST be a team player!
- Must be able to safely drive 14-passenger non-CDL bus.
- Must have valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Insatiable appetite for learning this is a COMPLEX industry with a lot of moving parts -- what you learn in this job will set you up for success!
- An inquisitive mind -- the best people for this role simply ask the best questions and genuinely want to help find optimal solutions for residents!
- Impeccable communication abilities both written and oral.
- Outgoing personality! You have to enjoy truly enjoy interacting with people in all mediums (via e-mail phone and face-to-face).
- Resourcefulness ability to work independently when needed AND as a member of collaborative team.
- Above-average skills in the Microsoft Office Suite Word Excel PPT and Outlook.
