About the role

The BI services mission is to use the Councils data in collaborative and imaginative ways so that insight and intelligence is at the heart of how the Council operates and improves services to residents.

Role purpose

The Power Platform Developer is responsible for managing maintaining and developing a range of applications within Microsoft Power Platform. These applications will vary from underpinning key front-line services to supporting organisation-wide processes such as recruitment. This role will work within a team of developers and will be responsible for developing any new applications which are required. The role will be expected to further develop automation using tools such as Power Automate and integrate Power Apps with other technology. The role will be expected to contribute to assurance and data quality and to meet standards of data security and best practice including the use of reusable components.

Key Role Responsibilities

You will need to:

Support maintain and enhance existing applications developed using MS PowerApps.

Lead on the development of new Power App applications which incorporate both Power Automate.

Oversee and lead CRM development services and mentor other software development staff on MS Power Platform technologies.

Work as part of a team or independently (depending on the size of the project) to undertake development testing and implementation of MS applications to meet specific project requirements.

Lead on the resolution of complex technology issues arising in delivery and operation of applications developed on MS Power Platform. This will involve giving complex advise to stakeholders and resolving complicated queries.

Collaborate with stakeholders across the business and externally to build a comprehensive set of requirements aligning with the needs of the cases this will involve requirements with a high degree of complexity
