JOB DESCRIPTION: SLITTING OPERATOR

$24-26/hr

SUMMARY: Primary duty if to accurately complete each job order on time and with quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

Set up program and operate slitting machine Verify setups and make any necessary adjustments
Review work orders
Provide press assistant with work direction as to the responsibilities required for each job as required for job prep.
Set blades and program slitter for all materials
Examine measure set and confirm all set sizes and lengths on the slitter.
Examine set and confirm all labels are correct and perform all sign offs prior to running each job Visually inspect each run to ensure quality and ensure wind tensions are achieved
Assist in unloading slitter

Forklift operation

Ensure quality of materials that have been slit

Daily general maintenance duties to be completed: Clean all equipment replace supplies used empty trash clean up after yourself in lunchroom and restroom. 2^ndshift plug in all fork lifts

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Some previous work-related skill knowledge or experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to listen to understand and read instructions to determine equipment setup requirements
Ability to work individually and in a team environment
Good computer skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
