Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sr./Staff Scientist to join our growing team. You will lead chemistry efforts to develop multi-step chemical processes that will be implemented in our groundbreaking technology. As part of a fast-paced and collaborative startup environment you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to build core chemistry solutions for our sequencing technology.
- Design and implement experimental strategies in developing chemistries for a non-mass spec based proprietary proteomics workflow
- Develop and optimize protocols to accommodate cross-functional processes including the automation if necessary
- Manage and prioritize multiple timelines across diverse projects/goals in coordination with other functional progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team activities demonstrating commitment to the rapid identification and resolution of problems and advancing projects through critical internal review processes
- Review research papers and intellectual property literature in support of ongoing research projects
Qualifications :
- Ph.D. in organic medicinal chemistry biochemistry or chemical engineering with at least 5 years of professional experience in a biotech or pharma environment.
- Extensive experience in developing novel chemical methodologies for proximity ligation surface chemistry/ beads assay development solid-phase synthesis and advanced purification techniques and beyond.
- Proficiency in contemporary protein (orthogonal) conjugation and analytical methods such as mass spectrometry HPLC and NMR.
- Deep understanding of Edman degradation in protein sequencing chemistry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Willing and capable of being hands-on in the wet-lab

Additional Information:
- Base salary: $130000/year - $160000/year. The final salary will be determined based on the candidates experience qualifications and skillsets.
