Registered Nurse (RN) Neurosurgical

Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth 1301 Pennsylvania Ave Fort Worth TX 76104

Work hours: PRN 7:00 pm 7:00 am- PRN III requires a minimum of 6 shifts per 6 week schedule with 2 weekend shifts.

36-bed Neurosurgical Unit

The neurosurgical team provides care to the patient population with Neurosurgical elective spine cervical and lumbar surgeries Brain tumor patients cranial hemorrhage patients just out of ICU and back up stroke unit- this unit may also have some remote tele patients

MAGNET facility

Level I Trauma Center

Heres What You Need:

Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred

Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire

BCLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

CPI Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire required

NIHSS -National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification within 90 days of hire required

1 Year experience as a Registered Nurse required.

Current neuro surgical RN experience strongly preferred

In addition to the required qualifications a successful RN will

demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

maintain a positive customer-focused attitude toward patients

possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism

have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems
