Job Summary

As Head Chef at Royal98 you will lead our kitchen team to deliver exceptional food quality and presentation while ensuring smooth kitchen operations. You will: 

  • Lead mentor and inspire the kitchen team fostering a positive and productive atmosphere 

  • Manage food costs inventory and kitchen budgets to maintain profitability without compromising quality 

  • Ensure strict compliance with health safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP) 

  • Collaborate with management to enhance the restaurants reputation and success 

  • Oversee quality control to maintain consistency in every dish 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers to source premium ingredients 

  • Handle daily operations such as scheduling recruitment and performance development 

  • Work closely with the service team our Restaurant Manager and the Hotel Management Team to guarantee seamless service and operations 


Qualifications :

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Head Chef or an accomplished Sous Chef ready to step up 

  • Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques menu planning and food cost management 

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop your team 

  • Proficient in operating and maintaining kitchen equipment 

  • Deep understanding of Dutch health and safety regulations in food service (HACCP) 

  • Social Hygiene (SVH) and Leermaster diplomas are a plus 

  • Excellent inventory management and quality control skills 

  • Broad knowledge of international cuisines and current food trends 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment 

  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or other languages is a bonus
