DescriptionJoin us in building the next generation foundry for quantum processor manufacturing We are seeking a Quantum Processor Engineer to be part of our growing team!
Do you want to be a part of pioneering quantum computing in a world-class quantum ecosystem in the heart of Copenhagen Quantum Foundry Copenhagen is a newly founded company owned by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF) aimed at developing next generation quantum computing processor technologies.
Our mission is to establish a foundry capable of manufacturing quantum processor units (QPUs) employing novel methods to meet the extreme requirements for purity and precision needed to bring quantum computing to scale.
About us
Our company is part of a vibrant and growing Danish quantum ecosystem and we collaborate closely with world-leading researchers at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP ) based at the Niels Bohr Institute University of Copenhagen. NQCP is designed to facilitate and drive research and innovations at multiple levels from developing materials and quantum processor technologies through solutions for the quantum-classical control and readout interface and all the way to quantum algorithms and applications.
In close collaboration with NQCP and international partners we aim to pioneer chip-based fabrication and packaging methods for state-of-the-art quantum processors.
Join our team
As part of the Quantum Processor Integration team you will drive the development and validation of superconducting quantum processors. You will get the opportunity to collaborate closely with qubit design materials and fabrication teams to iteratively optimize quantum processor performance.
Additional key responsibilities and tasks may include:
- Characterizing superconducting quantum processors at cryogenic temperatures both novel qubit prototypes and scaled systems.
- Building and validating cryogenic test platforms for quantum processor benchmarking.
- Collaborating closely with hardware partners on system integration of quantum processors.
- Performing analysis of measurement data documenting and communicating results to stakeholders.
- Contributing to measurement code development and automation of measurement workflows.
Professional and personal qualifications
We are looking for someone with effective collaboration and communication skills. The ideal candidate is organized pays close attention to detail and demonstrates thorough documentation skills. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are confident in adapting quickly to new information and changing circumstances.
Your qualifications and experience may include:
- PhD in physics engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years postdoctoral or relevant industry experience.
- Experience with superconducting qubit measurements rf electronics and cryogenic (dilution fridge) systems.
- Experience with superconducting qubit design and simulation.
- Proficiency in measurement code development using a version-controlled environment.
- Familiarity with quantum computing architectures and quantum error correction schemes.
We offer
Joining our team offers opportunities for professional growth and collaboration with leading experts in the field of quantum computing. We strive to be a world leading foundry and offer competitive salaries along with the many benefits of living in Copenhagen one of the most liveable cities in the world.
Benefits also include generous vacation time health insurance a pension scheme and a chance to contribute to a dynamic and innovative team.
