Corrugated Box Manufacturing Facility

Pay Rate:

$28.03-$34.71/hr dependent on experience/skillset(.33/Shift Differential when working Nights)

Eligible for Hiring Bonus $1000 after 30 Days $500 after 6 Months and Retention Bonus $500 after 1 Yr-Must meet eligibility requirements

Category/Shift:

Hourly Full-Time (7PM-7AM Wk 1 Monday Wed Thurs. Wk 2 Tues Fri Sat Sun)

Orientation/Training Mon-Fri 7am-3pm (Approx 2-3 Wks)

The Job You Will Perform:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmablecontrols power supplies drives gages and test equipment.
  • A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes
  • Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
  • Installs starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and inline with OSHA requirements.
  • Advises operators and lower level mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
  • Informs appropriate management and lower level mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
  • Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed.
  • Assists other maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.
  • Assists and trains other maintenance and/or other technical level employees.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Ability to climb in overhead structures to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Ability to Read Write Speak English
  • An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes; motors servos pumps drives relays 3 phase power communication devices industrial / electronic controls and power transmission systems.
  • A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • A strong problem solving ability with practical mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Must be fully computer literate with Microsoft environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as a team in a mature and professional manner.
  • Corrugated background is a plus but not required

Requirements:

Candidates must be able to and required to meet the following:

  • Recommended Status on AON GM Non-Technical and Technical Assessments
  • Prefer 5 Years Mechanical Experience
  • Must have a minimum of two years Industrial Maintenance experience (preferably in a Corrugated Box or similar facility).
  • Recent Verifiable Work History
  • Must follow all Safety rules and Company Policies.
  • Must have High School degree or general education degree (GED) equivalent.
  • Formal education in a maintenance discipline is preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
  • Must be able to follow instructions from Supervision and co-workers as designated by Supervision.
  • Intermediate computer skills; including MS Office Outlook.
