Job Summary
Overview
Gibbon Packing LLC an American Foods Group Company has an opportunity for a Security Guardat our Gibbon NE plant.
Essential Functions:
- Utilize gate houses to control access and prevent unauthorized access to buildings and property.
- Greet and monitor employees visitors vendors and consultants granted access to buildings and property.
- Disarm all alarms and activate card access readers on buildings when necessary for that shift.
- Arm lock and secure all buildings nightly or on company holidays when necessary for that shift.
- Respond to any emergency situation as called.
- Staff gatehouses greeting employees customers visitors and vendors providing assistance information and visitor parking passes in a courteous professional manner.
- Maintain an active list of all temporary associates consultants vendors and contractors.
- Patrol the surrounding premises.
- Assist with the cattle unloading process when necessary.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm hot humid cold wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts.
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job.
- Ability to work extended scheduled hours which includes nights and weekends. Must be able to work overtime as required and varying shifts.
- Must be willing and able to use a firearm.
- Must be able to successfully complete training:
- Safety.
- Safe Quality Food (SQF).
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Food defense.
- Humane Handling
