Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator to provide advanced IT support for classified operations in a secure government environment. This role requires a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and involves supporting the full lifecycle of IT systems including planning deployment operations troubleshooting and system upgrades.
The selected candidate will join a collaborative team supporting mission-critical defense programs working alongside both military and civilian personnel to maintain and optimize secure IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement hardware software and systems specifications and configurations.
- Apply patches updates and compliance fixes to maintain system security.
- Install configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Hyper-V Windows Server (2008 R2 2012 R2 2016) and client systems across multiple networks.
- Provide user support for account management enterprise applications and peripheral devices.
- Collaborate with Information System Security Officers (ISSO) for secure data transfers and media creation.
- Manage and coordinate user account creation access and modifications.
- Perform system maintenance and other IT-related tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship (mandatory due to clearance requirements).
- Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility with willingness to undergo a counterintelligence polygraph.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II (or higher) certification.
- Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma 10 years of IT experience -OR-
- Bachelors Degree in a related field 8 years of IT experience.
- Strong technical expertise in one or more areas such as:
- Microsoft Windows Server
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Virtualization (Hyper-V VMware Xen)
- Enterprise networking firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Forensic analysis vulnerability assessment and scripting
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with: BMC Footprints WSUS Lumension Bitlocker SQL Server 2012 TomCat IIS and Windows Server 2012R2/2016.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g. LogRhythm) ACAS/Nessus/SCAP and role-based access control (SELinux AppArmor etc.).
- Knowledge of video teleconferencing VOIP systems Oracle/MS SQL database security and Apache/IIS web server security.
- Previous defense industry experience working in government or military environments.
