Position: Graduate Applied Science Engineer
Location: Cardiff UK
Job Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 37 hours per week
Summary
Support the design development and implementation of transducers and technical solutions for the detection ofphysiological parameters.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:-
The Graduate Applied Science Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Experience or university exposure to MATLAB Python or modelling software.
Strong understanding of ultrasonic principles including the Doppler Shift.
Knowledge of ultrasound/acoustic wave theory.
Understanding of materials science and thermodynamics.
Fundamentals of signal processing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a research-focused team environment.
Desireable Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Knowledge of electronics and real-time embedded systems design.
Experience with simulation and modelling software (e.g. COMSOL ANSYS).
Proficiency in programming languages such as C C.
Previous research experience or projects related to ultrasonic transducer development.
Familiarity with design verification and validation processes.
Knowledge of regulatory standards for medical devices.
Understanding of materials science and thermodynamics.
Experience with design control and risk management activities.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a 2.2 Degree in Physics Medical Engineering or related Engineering Degree.
