Contract Type: Indefinite Contract

Location: Paris France

Salary: This role offers a starting salary 2105 with the potential for progression up to 2472 subject to skills and expertise.

You must have the legal right to work in France at the time of application.
There is no relocation or sponsorship support.

Role Purpose:

  • This role is ultimately responsible for delivering high-quality service to customers meeting their needs and enables the British Council to achieve business and impact objectives as outlined in the France Country Plan and other relevant corporate documentation.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement & Sales Support

  • Act as the single point of contact for Teaching Centre customers supporting them from first enquiry through to post-sale assistance.
  • Deliver sales consultations (in person online or via phone) highlighting the benefits and unique selling points of British Council English courses.
  • Maximise enrolments by identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
  • Promote and provide information on the full range of British Council services including Teaching Centre Exams Arts Education and Society programmes and UK study opportunities.

Customer Service & Operational Delivery

  • Welcome and assist visitors at the front desk and respond to enquiries via phone email and social media in line with corporate customer service standards.
  • Support registration events level checks parent meetings and exam sessions in coordination with relevant teams.
  • Distribute promotional and informational materials to both in-person and remote customers.
  • Register students process payments issue receipts maintain accurate student records and prepare daily income reconciliations in line with financial and operational standards.

Systems Feedback & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain accurate records of all enquiries and sales opportunities using designated systems.
  • Gather and record customer feedback to help improve services and processes.
  • Demonstrate British Council values and comply with all corporate performance and service quality standards.

Role specific knowledge and experience:

Minimum / Essential Requirements

  • Confident user of Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint)
  • Accuracy/attention to detail
  • Fast learner and passion for customer service and sales
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Experience working with CRM & Call management systems

Desirable Requirements

  • One year of sales and/ or customer service experience

Language Requirement:

  • B2 English proficiency (written and spoken)
  • C2 French proficiency (written and spoken)
