Process Engineer Utilities

Summary:
The Process Engineer supports daily utilities operations and drives process improvements to ensure equipment reliability regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. This role is the technical owner for utility systems including HVAC chillers boilers WFI clean steam and compressed air systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee commissioning qualification and performance of utility systems
Lead troubleshooting root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain equipment compliance and documentation (SOPs P&IDs PSI)
Collaborate across departments to optimize operations and reduce downtime
Support process safety environmental compliance and site KPIs using lean/OpEx tools
Lead and participate in CAPEX projects and process safety reviews
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5 years experience in utilities/wastewater operations (chillers boilers WFI etc.)
Strong knowledge of cGMP FDA regulations and automated control systems (DCS/PLC)
Proficient in problem-solving tools (FMEA fishbone etc.) and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and project management skills
Preferred:
Lean/Six Sigma certification
Experience in FDA-regulated environments
Familiarity with Aspen DeltaV or PLC
