NBSIN Structural Supervisor- 3rd Shift

Nucor Building Systems Indiana (NBSIN) is seeking a dedicated and safety-driven 3rd Shift Structural Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will lead by example ensuring that teammates operate safely efficiently and with pride in the quality of their work. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about continuous improvement teamwork and developing others.

Basic Job Functions:

• Commitment to Safety Quality and Productivity: Lead by example in upholding Nucors unwavering commitment to safety environmental responsibility product quality and productivity through integrity and daily leadership.
• Oversee Manufacturing Operations: Supervise the safe and efficient manufacturing and receiving of metal building components according to specifications schedules and customer requirements.
• Process Knowledge and Improvement: Develop a strong understanding of machinery and manufacturing processes on each production line identifying and implementing improvements that drive efficiency and cost savings.
• Team Communication and Collaboration: Foster open communication and teamwork within the group to ensure alignment productivity and a positive work environment.
• Performance Management and Development: Evaluate teammate performance provide constructive coaching and set clear expectations during growth and development discussions to support individual and team success.
• Hiring and Accountability: Take an active role in interviewing hiring and holding teammates accountable to Nucors standards of safety performance and integrity.
• Flexibility and Travel: Be available to travel with short notice as needed to support division needs and company initiatives.
• Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of leadership experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-4 year degree in a related field
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations
• Experience troubleshooting production lines and material handling systems
