Location: Village of Southampton an Independent Living Assisted Living with Memory Care senior community
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise housekeeping staff and coordinate schedules to ensure proper cleaning of offices public areas residences and common areas.
- Plan and schedule cleaning programs including annuals move-in preparations and window and carpet cleaning.
- Monitor inventory levels order necessary equipment and supplies and ensure safe handling and storage.
- Assist housekeeping staff with cleaning duties including floors restrooms kitchens resident laundry and apartments.
- Help with the make-ready of vacant apartments as assigned.
- Strive to maintain a safe working environment ensure staff follow all safety standards and applicable health codes and promptly report safety and security incidents.
- Ensure proper control of keys equipment supplies inventory and other property.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure smooth operations.
- Be an active member of the communitys emergency response team.
- Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
- Perform duties of other housekeeping staff in the event of absenteeism and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years of related experience; housekeeping experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents families staff vendors and the general public.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
- Compassion for and desire to work with seniors.
- Ability to implement cleaning programs complete checklists and maintain work records and reports.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to direct the work of others in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
