3rd Shift Receiving Supervisor

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Plan coordinate direct and perform loading and unloading of material and product. Verify and initiate records consistent with ISO & AIB procedures on incoming shipments along with the following duties.

ESSENTIALDUTIES: Duties and responsibilities include the following.

• Oversees warehouse staff.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Read production schedules inventory reports and work orders to determine workload and priority.
• Compares identifying information as well as counts weighs and/or or measures items in shipments to verify information against bills of lading invoices orders or other records and to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
• Ability to identify & define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions both oral and written.
• Schedule sequential movement of materials into and out of storage
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production and/or delivery
• Expedite the transfer of materials to the appropriate destination by unloading and stacking material onto or off of pallets skids or other devices.
• Follows communicates and enforces safety regulations and company policy.
• Relate with all customers and co-workers in a professional manner.
• Performs related tasks as needed for the department and/or assigned by
• Safe operation of a forklift at all times.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Employee is regularly required to walk talk and hear.
• Ability to regularly lift or move 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lb
• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive fork truck and control movement of lifting
• Positions forks lifting platform or other lifting device under over or around loaded pallets skids boxes products or materials or hooks and transports load to designated area.
• Ability to use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls: reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Strong knowledge of Receiving Warehouse and Material Handling operations methods and practices. Experience in corrugated manufacturing preferred and/or relevant lead experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Grand Traverse Container is a manufacturing plant using corrugated paper. The work is performed in a shop environment. Workers are regularly exposed to dust odors noise and variable temperatures. The employee works with moving mechanical parts and machinery.
