Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Slough. This full-time permanent position begins January 2026 and offers an excellent opportunity to inspire and support pupils in the upper years of Key Stage 2 as they prepare for their transition to Year 6.

Year 5 Teacher Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum.
Monitor and assess pupil progress using data to inform teaching and drive improvement.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel valued and motivated to learn.
Work collaboratively with colleagues support staff and parents to ensure holistic support for each child.
Contribute to the wider school community including events enrichment activities and clubs.
Maintain high expectations for learning progress and behaviour.
Year 5 Teacher Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 ideally Year 5.
Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Excellent communication organisation and interpersonal skills.
A reflective enthusiastic and collaborative approach to teaching.
Commitment to promoting inclusion creativity and academic excellence.
