Job Overview/Summary:
The Clinical Social Worker provides comprehensive psychosocial assessments counseling crisis intervention and case management services to patients and their families. The role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans addressing emotional behavioral and environmental factors that impact health and wellbeing.
Responsibilities:

Provide psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to patient needs.

Offer counseling and crisis intervention to individuals and families.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care.

Educate patients and families about available community resources and support programs.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with standards.

Participate in team meetings and case conferences to ensure continuity of care.

Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all professional activities.
Primary Skills:

Strong clinical assessment and counseling skills.

Knowledge of community mental health resources.

Excellent communication documentation and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work effectively in high-pressure multidisciplinary environments.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience with diverse and multicultural populations.

Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish or Cantonese).

Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Required Qualifications:
-
CSW I: Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field from an accredited university and registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT).

CSW II: Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field from an accredited university and possession of licensure through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or eligibility for licensure application as determined by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with others.

Capacity to work under pressure in a high-volume fast-paced environment.
-
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.
-
Skilled in preparing detailed written summaries and completing reports on time.

Knowledge of medical and/or psychiatric terminology.
-
Excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills.
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb stairs as needed.
-
Demonstrated reliability and consistent attendance.
-
Understanding of mental health issues and sensitivity toward clients.

Ability to work effectively with clients and staff from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.

A preliminary job offer and assignment may be extended pending successful background clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:

Prior related UC experience.

Fluency in English and Spanish or Cantonese.

Experience working with adults who have serious mental illness may be unhoused and/or dually diagnosed with a co-occurring substance use disorder.
