Job Summary

This is a remote position.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop create and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimising operational efficiency.
May analyse and design databases within an application area working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
May supervise computer programmers.
Mentors junior and intermediate software developers.
Debugs issues and resolves technical challenges and finds creative solutions
Creates clear and concise documentation for code and projects.
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
Plans and leads major technology assignments.
Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.

Requirements

Primary Skills:

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge and experience with IBM Mainframe z/OS.
Possess a deep understanding of programming languages such as Natural frameworks and Adabas database systems.
Proficiency and experience with XML and Java.
IDEAL Candidate has an understanding and experience with Natural and Adabas.
