NegotiableGeneral Description/Primary Purpose:
The School of Engineering is seeking a 9-month non-tenure earning Instructor of Electrical Engineering. Position responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses with a 4/4 teaching load collaboration with local industry and service to the School College of Computing Engineering and Construction and the University of North Florida.
The successful candidate is expected to collaborate effectively with current faculty demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence and show a willingness to continuously learn and grow. Additionally the candidate should embody collegiality and actively participate in service and departmental governance.
Supervisor: This position will report to the Dr. Alan Harris School of Engineering Director.
Working Hours: Varies
Supervision Exercised: This is not a supervisory role.
Required Licensure: N/A
Anticipated Start Date: The position is expected to begin on August 3 2026.
Required Qualifications:
The candidate must hold a Masters Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
Candidates from all areas of electrical engineering are encouraged to apply with preference given to those who demonstrate a record of practice in their profession in a non-academic setting such as industry or government laboratories.
