Job Summary and Responsibilities
As the charge nurse you are are instrumental in managing staff delegating responsibilities overseeing patient assignments maintaining seamless operations serving as the primary contact for issues and administering direct patient care when circumstances demand it.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience in Labor and Delivery (including accurate interpretation of fetal monitor strips)
- California RN license
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing or equivalent
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program completion (within 90 days of hire)
- Computer skills
Additional knowledge skills abilities required:
Must be able to appropriately identify and manage obstetrical emergency.
Ability to perform neotnatal stabilization measures.
Knowledge of infant security measures.
Accurate interpretation and use of unit-specific equipment.
